haha prepare yourselves because this kind of requires some explaining
awhile back (more so like a few years ago), my friend Jaydee prompted me to do a writing based on a song. i had ideas floating around for it, but never really got to it until not too long ago. this is probably about a month old, something like that. i was gonna post it to DA but… eh i kinda got shy but i’ll post it onto my tumblr at least. prepare for tons of song twisting (by that i mean TAKE THE MEANING OF THE SONG, COMPLETELY DISREGARD IT!! I’M A PROFESSIONAL AT THIS)

everyone laughs
lmfao this is old but w/e shoves it on here
I tear at my head,
with anxious and wild hands.
I cannot stop them, they do as they please,
They grab at my hair, and pull out clumps,
So hard that my scalp bleeds.
I can only watch the carnage, in the form of brown locks that litter the floor.
And through the madness, I hear the door open.
With wide eyes, I look over my shoulder and see
My brother, standing before me.
His eyes are as big as mine, and I can tell he has not taken his medication.
His eyes dart around the room, and out his lips tumble out nonsense that in my state, I cannot even attempt to understand.
I cannot even register the shame that I’d usually feel, upon him discovering me in this state.
We just stare at each other for a long while, though it seems he’s more so staring past me. It takes him while to notice my bloody hands, and my hair around me.
He says no more for now, and sits down beside me, leaning against me, and giving me the warmth that I need.
Then, after a few moments of silence, he begins to whisper a prayer for our lost souls,
“Let he, whose flame shines so bright,
lead our broken souls out of the dark,
and into the light.”
